Flowers Flexi-Academy's KS2 Classes is open for Home Educated children aged between 7-11, (school years 3-6).

The day runs on a Tuesday (from January 21) Wednesdays and Fridays (currently) from 8:45 am - 3:15 pm and is lead by one of our two KS2 teachers, who are experienced in teaching this age group. The day costs £35.00 and runs in term time. 

Learning is focused around a multi-curriculum approach. All days aim to:

  • Develop children's knowledge of culture, art and core subject skills through a range of topics that are planned to evolve around pupil's curiosity and engagement

  • Encourage pupils to learn and flourish in being creative in response to their learning and the wide range of skills they have developed

  • Reflect on their learning in order to leave with intrigue and the feeling of achievement and success

Options for children in Years 3/4

Fridays - Project Based Learning focussing on Maths, Literacy Science / Food Technology and Art.

Options for Children in Years 5/6:

Tuesdays - (from January 21) Project Based Learning focussing on French, Maths, Literacy and Science / Food Technology. 

Wednesdays - Project based learning focusing on art history. This incorporates a wide variety of subjects and those in year 6 can work towards achieving their Bronze Arts Award. (This is a Level 1 qualification on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF). Silver (level 2) and and gold (level 3) awards can be worked towards in years 7 upwards. The gold award has 16 points on the UCAS tariff.)

Our plan is to have two KS3 days a week from September 2021, with one day starting from January 21! This day will be for those in Year 7 and 8 and will be offering a range of different subjects across the day. Classes will be taught by current Colours Academy subject teachers.
